School Resource Division
The School Resource Officer (SRO) program represents the essence of Community Policing. The program requires that an officer become familiar with the students, the faculty, and the staff of each school in the Skiatook School System The SRO becomes an integral part of the school culture, and is invaluable in problem solving in the community. The Skiatook Police Department also benefits from the arrangement as the officer assigned to the school becomes a resource for patrol officers and investigators for information on juvenile issues and criminal intelligence.
